Jothsna e-learning ("Jothsna", "we", "us") builds a global learning platform. This policy describes what personal data we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to gspn.education and every product surface signed in with a Jothsna account.
1. Data we collect
Account data. Name, email, profile photo, country, and any biography you add. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email, and profile image from Google.
Learning data. Courses you enroll in, lessons you view, video positions, quiz attempts, assignment submissions, notes, bookmarks, and certificates you earn.
Payment data. When you purchase a course, our payment processor (Razorpay) handles card details directly — we only store transaction identifiers, amounts, and status. We never see or store your card number.
Device & usage. IP address, browser type, device identifiers, referring URLs, and diagnostic logs, used to secure the service and improve performance.
2. How we use it
To provide and personalize the learning experience, issue certificates, deliver notifications you request, process payments, maintain platform safety, and comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your learning content to train third-party AI models without your explicit consent.
3. Sharing
We share personal data only with:
- Instructors of courses you enroll in (name, progress, submissions).
- Service providers under contract (hosting, email, analytics, payments).
- Institutions that have licensed Jothsna for you (progress and completion only).
- Authorities when required by valid legal process.
4. Retention
We keep account data for as long as your account is active. On deletion, we remove personal identifiers within 30 days, retaining only anonymized statistics and information we're legally required to keep (for example, tax records for completed purchases).
5. Your rights
Depending on your region (EU/UK GDPR, India DPDP, California CCPA, and others), you have rights to access, correct, export, and delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. Contact us at privacy@gspn.education to exercise any right.
6. Security
We use TLS in transit, encryption at rest, role-based access, audit logs, and secure secret management. No system is perfectly secure — please use a strong, unique password and enable two-factor authentication on the account you use to sign in.
7. Children
Jothsna is not directed at children under 13. If a child under the age of digital consent in your region has provided us data without parental consent, contact us and we will delete it.
8. Changes
We'll post updates here and, for material changes, notify you by email or in-app before they take effect.
